Pain in love good?

Pain good in love?

March 5, 2011

"If you avoid the pain, you will miss all pleasures of life.  With love you become human; you stand erect on earth.  With love you are vertical. …… But then when pain disappears, love also disappears.  They exist together.  When you are in love, love hurts.  It hurts terribly.  …….. Don't use words.  When something new happens to you, always allow a deep look into it without any language" _ Osho (Speaking Tree, Times of India, 5 March 2011).

Yes when pain is totally taken out, dispensed with love disappears. Joy in love is built upon the pain… and the pain is built upon love. They go together. One cannot exist without the other. Only love and only pain has no purpose and no meaning.

We achieve so many things in life, we go to higher heights in different things that we undertook……it might have at times looked incomplete …… the reason could be that we may be could not excel to stand for what we are … stand for our own uniqueness. We for sure can do things in line with successful people around….. we we can do …. Act in all desirable ways … but we can always do different things …. In an unique way .. that is close to our chest. We can always find out our own unique way of doing things without getting to conflict with social or moral guidelines. Happiness and contentment will be at its peak when we go ahead to realize the full potential of our unique personalities …. Our unique identity. Un knowingly we all do it…….it will be wonderful if we realize and do it consciously …. To know that being unique is godly and divine and in its fit of things in the larger cosmos. Cheers …… be what you are!!!! Trust me – LbnRaj ; lotus5673@yahoo.co.in ; http://indialibrarian-intl.blogspot.com ;

The more we understand about light the more we come closer to the understanding of universe its magnanimity and miracles .... and Reading habits are not on the decline .... who reads what how were is changing fast .....

THE THOUGHTS THAT PONDE ME  …. On light and consciousness and etc… and librarians / FEBRUARY 25, 2011

The more we understand about light the more we come closer to the understanding of universe its magnanimity and miracles .... and Reading habits are not on the decline .... who reads what how were is changing fast .....

  1. To quote Henryk Skolimowski,  "Human consciousness is evolutionary as everything else is.  It will reach its apogee of enlightenment at the end of time. …. In the mean time we need to cultivate our small gardens of enlightenment, for we don't truly know what ultimate enlightenment is .  We should seek to make small steps in our enlightenment for they are real – an anticipation of greater things to come.  Above all, we should seek the Great Peace within, which is available to all human beings and which is a precondition of any form of enlightenment" (Source : Speaking Tree, TOI, February 25, 2011). It is a bunch of brilliant ideas on light and consciousness. The magnanimity of darkness is not brought out in the write up. Darkness is vaster and original than light ….. darkness is not dependent on light. We can manipulate light but not darkness…. May be darkness is more closer to universal truths …. And makes way to understand the magnanimity of the universe and the consciousness.
  2. The Bhubaneswar Book Fair is over. The authors and publishers express their anguish about the declining reading habits of younger generation. They are also aware of the fact they younger generation spends more time on networking on FACEBOOK, Twitter etc. What we should underline is Reading habits are not declining….. the type of reading …. The material read … the medium of reading ….. is changing. May be the very meaning of reading should be redefined. Authors and publishers have to cope up with the changing times …. May be they can come out with newer ways of coming closer to the way the modern boy / girl reads these days. Why not publishers and authors … get into social circles…online and then see what could be done.

Dont be in undue hurry .... go with nature and its laws..... listen to what Khan Saheb has to say on this ....

You are in a hurry? ….. listen to Maulana Wahiduddin Khan :

  1. ….."I am in a hurry, but God isn't.
  2. "Why did God decree this gradual process as the course of nature?  He did so for the purpose of consolidation.  If you try to achieve something by leaping into things, the final result will be like an uprooted tree.  But when you adopt the gradual process, you consolidate your achievement."

We have to abide by the nature's laws. In fact we cannot do anything against nature and its laws. Even if we think we are doing something against these laws, nature will balance and we know then…. May be it is too late to do or undo things that went otherwise.

Quality is one of the key knowledge groups in the PMBOK, but I'm finding it also a key focus, especially in an academic library setting. In terms of evaluation and excellence, quality (from the traditional 7QC to Six Sigma) is important fundamental not only for projects, but also with existing operations. From the humble checklist to a process improvement project that includes several key quality tasks, I think that quality definitely needs to be considered on and off projects.

There are many levels or approaches to quality. I respect the six sigma training and there is also a PhD offered in Evaluation at Western Michigan University (
http://www.wmich.edu/evalphd/ ) that has a number of great resources published. Even starting small with a few tools added to each project can be a path to quality improvements. Atul Gawande's Checklist Manifesto demonstrates how big an impact even a simple checklist had when introduced in the surgical/medical community (along with providing a very scenic view of checklists in several other industries and a non-specialist approach to developing and implementing checklists).

Nobody is hurting you said Osho …. Learn how not to be sad from Osho / February 23, 2011

Nobody is hurting you said Osho …. Learn how not to be sad from Osho / February 23, 2011

See what you can learn from Osho :

  1. "Nobody is hurting you; nobody wants to hurt anybody.  People are beautiful.  If they say that you are sad, they are simply saying that they would like you not to be sad…..they would like you to be happy because your sadness will make them sad also".
  2. "Sadness is not anybody's nature; just a mood, a habit, a pattern.  It can be broken.  It is because you have chosen it.  But the way is not to fight it.  The way is to transcend.  So accept it".
  3. "It is just an old habit that you slip into again and again.  A habit needs unconsciousness, a habit lives in unconsciousness.  If you become conscious of it, it disappears.  So for three days you be consciously sad, consistently sad, persistently sad.  Don't go here and there; immediately catch hold and come back and be sad.  You will fail!"

There is tremendous power in action ........

There is tremendous power in action. "May you live a hundred years working," says the Isavasya Upanishad.  Action brings about satisfaction, prosperity and purifies the personality.  Then losses and gains become insignificant.  And happiness becomes consistent.  That is why it is said that to be a "loser" is not all that terrible – in fact it could do you good. – Janki Santoke (Speaking Tree ; Feb 21, 2011)

Idling on a Sunday with life saving and life enriching thought of Anthony Robbins / February 20, 2011

Idling on a Sunday with life saving and life enriching thought of Anthony Robbins  / February 20, 2011

"I have come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy" – Anthony Robbins ; http://ebookdirectory.com/successbrand7.pdF ;

N number of my well wishers tell told me from time to time that failures are stepping stones to success. I keep reading the same in several books from time to time. But people get so much moved ….. dis heartened by failures and dis appoints that … that they like me lose hope to live further with homes …. They like me think that nothing more can be done. And here I find this wonderful thought from Robbbins that ….. the failure and disappointments are the foundations of our understandings …. Hats off Robbins!!!! Hats Off!!!!  I never never never want to wish to forget these golden words. I know it …. But keep forgetting it several times. So good news friends …. If we have had lots of lots of dis appointments … and failures … all this in fact does not go waste …. It adds to our better and new understandings…… and as Anthony tell we will enjoy the benefits of the fantastic new understanding.

If you continue to follow your big dream and continue to fail it is time you listen to what Lisa tells!!!! Trust me

If you continue to follow your big dream and continue to fail it is time you listen to what Lisa tells!!!! Trust me – A Book Review (Dream Big/Lisa Hammond. 2005.-Mumbai:Jaico.)  -LbnRaj

February 19, 2011

Whenever I felt low in life whenever disappointments and failures drowned me to neck levels few times suicidal thoughts cropped up and many a time pushed me either to hear to an enlightened souls to lay hand on a book that attracted me by its very look and feel and title.  Lisa's Dream Big is one such titles that caught my instant attention when I was engrossed in browsing books at ASBM's Chanakya Central Library.  Incidentally I earn my daily bread by managing this beautiful and gigantic knowledge house.

Dream Big is a book apart, it is one of very few books that aim to outclass contemporary business science and intelligentsia.  Lisa's writing is so much passi9onate, personal and above all so much unreasonable.  She puts passion before plan, dream before reality.  It is this un reasonable character of her's that spearheaded to see the emergence of an unique comp0any known as Femail Creations.  We are so much behind science, logic and management that we forget the basics of genesis of a dream or business of profession.

Lisa is quite successful in bringing out the fact that all great businesses get born years before they were actually were conceived.  She appeals in no uncertain terms to dream big however unreasonable and impractical it might seem at the outset.  She continued and continues to be a simple barefooted passionate lady who loved her little family and people around passionately and desperately.  Her genuine love for people around especially women and her stake holders hand holded her any where and every where.  Her's is a life worth lived, life that encompasses her concern for all those women who wanted to be on their own and who sincerely believed to follow their big dreams.

Dream Big running into 189 pages is divided conveniently by 16 chapter.  Every chapter unfolds her ever evolving personality desperate convictions.  The support caption, "Finding the courage to follow your dreams and laugh at your nightmares befits the contents of the book.  As she continues wit5h her so much personal and affectionate way of expression every sentence looks like a guote.  Initially I jotted down few lines here and there.  It was so difficult for me to proceed further as every sentence looked like a quotation.  The bo0ok honestly has impacted me a lot.  I don't know how many of my friends I have already advised to read the book.  Impacted by one of the thoughts from the book I wrote a blog post in my blog, http://indialibrarian-intl.blogspot.com and a friend of mine by name Charu (librarian) was deeply  moved and commented as if I wrote those specially for her.  I instantly replied her comments asking her to read, "Dream Big".  Many thoughts and quotes of Lisa moved me …. One or two are reproduced here to give a little glimpse  … :

1.      Some times it is better not to know what you don't know

2.      No one else will do it for you.  No body else can put you at the top of your own list.

3.      What often looks like a disaster at first can be sometimes turn out to be a blessing in disguise.  Bad news can really be good news in the long run.

4.      Some times on the way to your dream you get lost and find a better one.  It is ok to change our minds and it is never too late to start.

5.      There is no pleasure in having nothing to do , the fun is in having lots to do and not doing it.

6.      If there is one thing I have discovered one thing, it is that it is small things that can lead to the big shifts in thinking.

She ends her emotionally  crafted book with the following words : "…It is never too late to be what you might have been.  Take a deep breath and take the leap, Dream Big. Those who always feel that there is something missing in their lives , those who have stumbled to discover their dream, those who have lost their way towards their dream, those who could not break the barriers of reality, could not break the established rules and failed and circumstances….. Dream Big is a good life time read.  This read could succeed in turning the tables around.  This read could sensitize those who have lost or losing faith in their passions and intuitions.  It will re-energize those who have continued to fail Inspite of their best efforts and intentions …. Inspite of their being passionate about their Big Dreams.  Lisa will live alive in the hearts of many women who dare to dream big … who dare to be different, who dare to outclass contemporary business science.  Lisa continues to write from her Mail Order Catalogue website viz : www.femailcreations.com .
