Chiara Fox is a Senior Information Architect for Adaptive Path. Chiara has developed successful IAs for intranets, informational Web sites, and e-commerce sites.
Chiara received her MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. She spent ten years working in public and science libraries as a cataloger and reference librarian before devoting herself to the Web full time.
Topic:
The topic of the webinar is “Making Information Architecture Real” Information architecture (IA) is a process of structuring, describing, and organizing information to help people create, manage, and consume information.
We would be completing the second part of the Click U Webinar. Part 1 of the Webinar was replayed on April 16, 2008 while Part 2 focuses on what needs to be done with the content on your site after identifying and structuring it. The course will also include the creation of a mental model to structure your site using content maps and task analysis. Finally, the webinar will focus on the effect of labeling and tagging of words chosen to increase the usability of your site and will provide real-life examples from Chiara’s work as an IA consultant to illustrate the concepts covered.
