What is Craigslist?

If you are an ardent browser of internet, you are sure to have come across Craigslist quite often. There actually exists a person called Craig New Mark, who is the founder of this website in the year 1995.

Though the boundaries of services of Craigslist was confined to San Francisco Bay area, it soon spread its wings far and wide, over nine cities in the United States and now has been established in more than 450 cities. Craigslist has clinched the ninth place among the websites in the USA which is a clear testimony to the rapid popularity, within a short span of time.

The classified advertisements have many categories and make it easier for both the marketers and the viewers to surf and post them. The categories include personal ads, community announcements, selling and buying advertisements and what not. The resumption of mailing operations saw a sudden up-surge in the number of postings and subscribers, which ultimately led to addition of job category and there is a constant demand for addition of more categories.
Craigslist is in itself a community and the spam ads are flagged by the viewers. This is an authentic fact because Craigslist is operated only by twenty four staff members and it would be impossible, without the role of the viewers.

Craigs is a non profitable organization whose main objective is to acquire adequate visibility and establishment, aiming at long term success and basically, to connect the people all around the globe.
