Strength and The ways of the world
Strength and The ways of the world
Strength : "Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength" -Arnold Schwarzenegger (Source : Sacred Space, Times of India, December 14, 2010 ; Tuesday). The Ways of the World : "Unfairness is a part and parcel of life. Such is the way of life. Can we teach ourselves not to be victims of unfairness and face it with the understanding that life's mysteries cannot be fully understood?". (Source : The Speaking tree, Times of India, December 14, 2010 ; Tuesday).
"Yes, what is the yardstick to assess and measure our strength …. The best yard stick is the way we face the hardships …. We will realize our strength this way better than by any other way I think.. We many a times realize that life is unfair towards us many a times…. What if this is the way life is? Any attempt to unravel the mysteries this unfairness is the unravel the mystery of life itself. The real answer I hope could fairly be answered by gyani's like Basava, Akkamahadevi, Osho, Jiddu, Sukhbodhananda and Shri Shri". Life is for living / Swami Brahmdev, aurovalley@gmail.com
If you want to live a better life or not, if you want to know more about yourself, or not; if you want to live this life knowing yourself or without knowing yourself. This is w3hat we must learn. Don't live a life with ignorance. ; live with awareness, with knowledge. Then you can grow, then you can progress and fulfill the purpose of life. Knowledge Management and Librarians
Researchers have discovered that knowledge is what the organization knows, how it uses what it knows, and how fast it can know something new, are the three major thing that offers an organization a competitive edge.
When are we going to take up KM seriously? Can we have a list of Librarians who are actively participating in the KM activities in their organisations?

Gratitude “A deep gratitude must be shown towards whole just for the opportunity that you are , that you can meditate, that you can be silent, that you can laugh” – Osho
Gratitude "A deep gratitude must be shown towards whole just for the opportunity that you are , that you can meditate, that you can be silent, that you can laugh" – Osho Yes. Golden words of Osho. What we are what we have are no less …. All of this is from nothing …. And we graduate into nothing… and nothing is everything. We forget many a times to express / show gratitude… to God, people around … our parents … the people who picked up when we wanted some one to lift us up. The moment we are in for showing gratitude… all our feelings and thoughts that we are left alone … no body bothers …. Will wash away. We feel light when we are in the plane of gratitude. Let us pay make it a habit to pay gratitude to any thing and every thing that matters to us that is around. Leave every thing on the almighty … every thing will be alright … do and think what you are upto. Rest will be taken care by the unknown and nothing. We must graduate to nothingness blissfully… happily. Hope all knowledge managers and librarians do say yes to me. life and library ... what a comparison !!!!
Life and Library ....... what a beautiful comparison! Yes Life is like a library owned by an author. It is true that in this library .... the books written by owner author are always less in number ..... the books written for this author outnumber the ones written by him. In a literal sense the above thinking is true. To me every one who enters in this world is an author. Every one ends up writing a book... may be some are able to voice it, record it.... or print it. And every ones' book remains eternal. No one can destroy any ones' book ... despite whether the same is published or not. Hope I make sense to the ones reading this write up. In Nothing can be created nor destroyed. Every thing is already there. Only thing is that the forms and shapes change continuously. Hope Librarians will appreciate my point of view! Inner beauty is more stunning ... more valuable ... more dashing !!!!!!!!
" Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical ". - Sophia Loren. Every one some time or the other encounters some one so stunningly beautiful, charming .... but cannot put up to be with that person even for few seconds. One just cannot stand that person ... for any reason. Yes ..... the person is so ugly in thoughts ... so filthy in feelings .. so dirty in dealings .... one just cannot stand such a person however sparkling the physical image could be. So the inner beauty makes a person beautiful ... makes a person more beautiful. Yes I agree to what Sophia Loren said ... hope librarians too agree to this!!!!! Reason and Creativity.
Reason and creativity
"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense…… An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea." Gautama Buddha (Sacred Space, Times of India, December 7, 2010). True, we read and hear impressive quotes and sayings from far and near, from known and not so much known well-wishers individuals / scholars / leaders, but we may rarely be really impressed. The reason behind, …. Some thoughts are so close to our thoughts, reasoning … and heart that it looks like that is in fact our thought. Only thing We could not say it … or may be did not have better/appropriate words to express. Ya as long as thoughts / sayings / quotations don't touch our thinking and heart … we normally don't get impressed … don't get moved. We will never be able to get inspired by great thoughts … which our conscience does not agree. Hope may responses are agreeable to Librarians. Avva appa (mom and dad) ... the greatest gifts of god!!!!!!
Avva Appa ; December 06, 2010 ; 12.35am It has always been my ambition to keep writing day in and day out. Many a time I feel and think may be I don't have much to say, much to write and publish. At times just for my satisfaction I struggle to write and I realize my pen does not move further. May be I am deliberately trying to write on something I am not so well prepared. Could be my thoughts and ideas are ripe…. But may be I don't get right words and phrases that are befitting. All through many many years I have seen my appa finding time any where and everywhere to write. May be that passion to write is present in my blood genetically. What if I have not yet kept those doors of my genetic inheritance that I had through my parents. My be I have all the time for doing several things that I need to do for earning a living. Alas! When will I realize that writing and publishing does not need any thing but passion and honesty. When will I get into this luxury of finding time anywhere and every where just like that. Nature's greatest gift to an individual is ones parents. The giving that happens from parents to children is unending and priceless. The connectivity between parents and children is so complete, so pious so pure……..that there is no parallel. This love is best of all. If there is any humility and humbleness in society it is because of ones love that is bestowed upon by ones parents. Parental love is unparallel……their acts of care and giving is unending. I don't think any one will ever be able to return the same quantum of love, affection and care that one gets from ones parents. I don't know where I stand in this natures scheme of things. Several of dreams about my love affection, care and concern remain fulfilled. This may be four years since when I could no9t make it at least to see my parents. My avva for quite often reminded me, requested me, pestered me to come once and see her and my father. I don't really know why I could not make it. Now my avva and appa don't pester me to come and see them. May be they realized why I am unable to see them. I only keep telling them that I am busy and that it is difficult to take leave from my job. The beauty of my avva and appa is … they understand more than what I want to tell them. My very voice, my very vibrations over phone make them understand more and more of what I want to tell them. I need not spell out everything over phone. They understand me without my words. They are better connected to me than I am connected to them. At this age of 52 I am just a kid to them,…. I am just Raja to them. I love you avva, I love you appa……… I do have feelings…. I do want to … I do long to meet you. You understand that I am lost in making my living, I am lost in caring and loving my wife and kids. This I learn from you only . If I am a good husband and father……..I learnt this from you o9nly. But I am your kid……… I am your raja……. I am with you, I am connected to you day in and out … Be smiling … be happy. "The wise knows self as bodiless within bodies ......... Katha Upanishad"
A thought for the day "The wise who knows self as bodiless within bodies, as unchanging among changing things, as great and omnipresent does never grieve……" – Katha Upanishad..
What a thought? It takes lot of efforts to understand this. One needs to get into silence, meditation and self introspection for may be hours and days together ….. may be years together. It may take years together as we get to explore in our own many a time erroneous ways. Yes it is wise to explore and introspect with the guidance of a spiritual guru. Yes …. The path may not be so simple …. But we have the glimpse of the cosmos …. Inner self …. N number of times during a day … during our sleep ….. the cosmic understanding seems far …. But it is so close by as well … as we are of it and as it is within us … around us …. Connecting us to any thing and every thing around…. Far and near. So let us try to befriend the great and omnipresent …. Let us try to capture and stop by our intimate moments with the one that is within us … without us. Let us try unto ourselves.. Be in the present and fill life with joy, peace and serenity ... it is up to us ... it is possible ... just learn to appreciate things as they are ... learn to appreciate that nature has given us without asking for .... Thank God always for what is given to us. Learn to appreciate the greatness of the people around us.... learn to find out the best of all of our family memberss friends and neighbours ... best wishes ... LbnRaj lotus5673@yahoo.co.in . Yes ... true indeed ... it is upto us to fill our life with joy, peace and serenity ... yes we need to be in the present .... Yes we should be fully present in the present moment ... may be a few seconds of past and a few seconds of future ... I think that I consider to be the present. And that is what I consider to be being in the present. Hope every one agrees to this .... I am sure Librarians will agree to this. Guard your words and work towards perfection ......
Guard your words
We should always be soft spoken. Sweet speech has the ability to attract one and all. On the contrary, vitriolic speech keeps people away. That is why one should always be soft spoken so that it enhances brotherhood and affection. – Yajureda (Sacred Space : Times of India, December 2, 2010)
Towards perfection
Don't hesitate to ask or take help. You are what you are which is a happy person preserving your spirit and that is the only thing which will decide your success in life. … love and essence of your being which is always unique and special and in pursuit of perfection. .. Where you feel you have to improve, work at it. But where society feels you have not made the mark, make an indelible one with your vain spirit, even it it takes a little longer to do so. – Sudhamahi Reghunathan ( The Speaking Tree, Times of India, December 2, 2010) Librarianship is a noble profession http://indialibrarian-intl.blogspot.com/ 1816gbgv |

Life is a reward .....
Say Goodbye With Grace "Don't make things small and big, trivial and important. Every thing is important. …. That there is nothing which is great or small ; it all depends on you, what you make of it. Start with meditation, and things will grow in you – silence, serenity, blissfulness, sensitivity. And whatever comes out of meditation, try to bring it out in life. Share it, because everything shared grows fast. …. Life is a reward and it is given only to those who have earned it, who deserve it. It will be against existence if you don't beautify it, if you leave it just as you have found it. So leave it a little happier, a little more beautiful, a little more fragrant." (Excerpt from Beyond Enlightenment. Work , play and meditation
Work and Play : "The person who is a master in the art of living makes little distinction between their work and their play, their labour and their leisure, their mind and their body, their education and their recreation, their love and their religion. They hardly know which is which. They simply pursue their vision of excellence and grace in whatever they do, leaving others to decide whether they are working or playing. To them, they are always doing both." – Zen Buddhism. (Source : Sacred Space ; Times of India, November 30, 2010). Meditation : "Many a time seekers try to meditate on their won or take guidance3 from holy books or refer to the meditation techniques taught by great masters in their times., but are absolutely oblivious of the intricacies involved. But because of lack of guidance when a leap beyond mind seems light years away, they just despair. In reality there is no need to despair but to learn meditation from a living enlightened master. …. Luminous presence of an enlightened master creates a highly charged field of consciousness paving the way for seekers to travel far more easily and faster. Retreat with the master revitalizes and nourishes the soul, heals the wounds of mind, afflicted for ages … dissolving into the ocean of pure bliss!" – Anandmurti Gurumaa (The speaking tree ; Times of India; Nov 30, 2010).
