Work and Play : "The person who is a master in the art of living makes little distinction between their work and their play, their labour and their leisure, their mind and their body, their education and their recreation, their love and their religion. They hardly know which is which. They simply pursue their vision of excellence and grace in whatever they do, leaving others to decide whether they are working or playing. To them, they are always doing both." – Zen Buddhism. (Source : Sacred Space ; Times of India, November 30, 2010). Meditation : "Many a time seekers try to meditate on their won or take guidance3 from holy books or refer to the meditation techniques taught by great masters in their times., but are absolutely oblivious of the intricacies involved. But because of lack of guidance when a leap beyond mind seems light years away, they just despair. In reality there is no need to despair but to learn meditation from a living enlightened master. …. Luminous presence of an enlightened master creates a highly charged field of consciousness paving the way for seekers to travel far more easily and faster. Retreat with the master revitalizes and nourishes the soul, heals the wounds of mind, afflicted for ages … dissolving into the ocean of pure bliss!" – Anandmurti Gurumaa (The speaking tree ; Times of India; Nov 30, 2010). concentration upon that which is dearest to the heart........!!!!!!!!!!
INVOCATION OF PEACE
"Peace can be reached through meditation on the knowledge which dreams give. Peace can also be reached through concentration upon that which is dearest to the heart". – Patanjali "We can never obtain peace in the world if we neglect the inner world and don't make peace with ourselves. World peace must develop out of inner peace." – The Dalai Lama XIV Librarianship is a noble profession http://indialibrarian-intl.blogspot.com1816gbgv Librarianship is a noble profession http://indialibrarian-intl.blogspot.com/ 1816gbgv |

Real detachment ...
Real detachment : "The man who is pure of heart is bound to fulfil himself in whatever way he is taught. A worldly man seeks all his life., but is still bewildered. Detached from the senses, you are free. Attached you are bound. When this is understood, you may live as you please"- Astavakra Gita 15:1-2 Librarianship is a noble profession http://indialibrarian-intl.blogspot.com/ 1816gbgv |

Enlightened Thought : “All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.” – Gautama Buddha (Sacred Space, Times of India, November 18, 2010).

complete surrender
Complete Surrender : "Better indeed is knowledge than mechanical practice. Better than knowledge is meditation. But better still is surrender of attachment to results, because there follows immediate peace". – Bhagavadgita 12.12 ; – "Once we surrender our mind to God Completely, – He will take care of us in every way." – Satya Sai Baba. – Sacred Space, Times of India, November 15, 2010. Ego and patience
"Ego and patience : Drop the 'I' and 'mine' and live in the 'we'. The universe is one. Without the ego we wxperience a beautiful connectedness with every thing else in the great chain of being : with the birds, stars, sky and trees. … It is connectedness that is known known as nirvana. …. We have to trust the universe with its own ways of opening and closing windows of opportunity and doors to happiness and prosperity. We have to learn to be patient. Patience is the predicated on the faith that God knows better than we ever can hope to know what is good for us." – Swami SukhabodhanandaSource : Roar your way to Excellence. – Speaking Tree, Times of India.-November 12, 2010. Log on to spirituality
"Log on to spirituality : As one grows spiritually one gains the sensitivity to see Divinity even in ordinary manifestations, like a flower or leaf. At the highest level one is rroted in Brahmn, immersed in the contemplation of Brahmn, and does not need any manifestation to remind oneself of the Divine"-Jaya Row(Speaking Tree, Times of India, Nov 11, 2010).

present , past and future
Whenever I happen to read great thoughts of great thinkers/leaders … I quite often chance upon these golden words : "be in present…present is the most obvious form of time…take care of the present and you can take care of the past and the future both ……" I hope and wish I trust these words … but again and again questions arise…… and often I keep saying to myself….some times who so ever is infront of me …"past and future are as obvious and clear as that of present …. And they are facts and not fiction… after all the present and future depart and separate by less than 1 billionth of a second…. Am I right. Can we really separate the past, present and the future is my big question". LbnRaj ; lotus5673@yahoo.co.in Librarianship is a noble profession http://indialibrarian-intl.blogspot.com/ 1816gbgv |
