LEARNING HOW TO MAKE MONEY BLOGGING

Learning How to Make Money Blogging26th March 2008Author: P CodeThe following paragraphs summarize the work of blogging experts who are completely familiar with all the aspects of Blogging. Heed their advice to avoid any blogging surprises. How can you put a limit on learning more? The next section may contain that one little bit of wisdom that changes everything. There are two major types of business models that entrepreneurs use to make money blogging. The first and most common way to turn a blog into a profit making machine is to sell advertising to different companies and brands who want to reach that blog'sreaders. The second kind of money making blog is one that helps a single brand improve its image by creating positive associations between the blog and the product in the mind of consumers. Both kinds of blogs can make a lot of money, especially if the creator has a keen mind for marketing. If you are blogging with the goal of selling advertising, there are two basic ways that you can go about recruiting sponsors who want to put ads on your site; you can let someone else do all of the legwork, or you can do the work yourself and keep all of the revenue.Within the first group, many people make money blogging by selling space through Google's AdSense program. The advantages of this program are numerous, as it requires very little effort on the part of the blogger or webmaster to begin raking in profits. However, most people discover that they make less money through this method than they had hoped that their blog would earn. Selling advertising directly to companies who want to put banner ads or sponsored links on your blog can take quite a bit of time, but it is often fairly lucrative. If you have a lot of contacts in industries that are related to the topic of your blog, you may want to try to go this route. People who have a strong background in sales and are experienced at pitching proposals can make quite a bitof money by renting blog space to interested companies. The most serious problem with this model is that you often have to build quite a sizable readership before you can attract advertisers, which can mean that you have to do several months of work before you start to make money blogging. As blogging becomes a more and more lucrative business, a lot of established companies are considering how they can get into the action. One way that companies are capitalizing on the blog movement is by having blogs that provide a kind of friendly face fortheir corporation. Often, a company will employ an established blogger to create a weblog designed specifically to appeal to that company's customers and consumers' minds. More than one writer who never even dreamed that he or she could make moneyblogging has been approached by a company and offered quite a pretty penny for this kind of gig. There's a lot to understand about blogging. We were able to provide you with some of the facts above, but there is still plenty more to write about in subsequent articles.Want to work with an outstanding team of mentors that use blogging? Making Money with a Blogs26th March 2008Author:
McRand02Writing is one of those careers where you would either make it big or end up in poverty. The difficulties of finding a publisher to print and sell your novel or a magazine to take in your column cannot simply be described. Luckily, this image of a writer may already be a thing of the past, thanks to the recent technological advancements. While in the old days, individuals in the writing profession had to rely on other people to earn; today’s writers can now generate an income out of their craft by turning their passion into business. Hard as it may sound, this endeavor can indeed be an easy-to-achieve possibility with the use of blogs. Surprising, as it may seem, you can indeed be making money with a blog by just whipping up your hidden writing talent. Whether you are new to the world of blogging, or you have been typing your entire life on the Internet for years, making money with a blog is a possibility that you can accomplish. Here are some few tips that could help you do so: 1. Earn using Google - What was once just a search engine is now among the most powerful enterprises throughout the world, not only in terms of its reach, but also in terms of its income generating possibilities. You can earn from Google by using their free service known as AdSense. All you need to do is have a blog and sell space within your page for ads to be posted by AdSense. The service would then allow you to display ad units – ad boxes – that would display advertisements related to the topics you write about in your blog. For instance, you wrote about the sweater you just knit, and then the ad unit might display ads about sweaters or knitting. Every time your visitors click on any of these ads, you would get a certain amount. When your earnings reach at least a hundred dollars, Google would then send you a check. 2. Promote Other Profitable Sites- a lot of online businesses offer affiliate programs. These work by you having their ads posted on your blog. When a visitor clicks the ad and then purchases something from that company, you would then receive a commission or a referral fee. A lot of the bigwigs of Internet shopping run such programs including Amazon.com, LinkShare, and Lands’ End, among many others. The percentages you can earn from their sales vary depending on the company’s policies. 3. Be an Ad Salesman – The downside of Google ads and affiliate programs is you do not really have much control on your earnings and the ads that are displayed on your blog. If you want to play more seriously in the ad selling game, then you can use BlogAds’ free databases where you can set prices for advertisers to post your blog. Some companies look for blogs that match their products and services and rent ad space the way they do with those traditional billboards you find along the freeway. You ad space can then be leased for a certain period of time. You would just need to pay 20 percent of your earnings to BlogAd. 4. Pass the Hat – While begging may not be so attractive as a means of getting many, doing it in style – online, that is – could be quite appealing, and not to mention profitable. There is nothing wrong about asking for money, and you could indeed make money if you ask nicely or if people like you (and your blog). Many blogs have donation buttons on them. And true enough, many avid fans and visitors may be willing to share some of their wealth to you as a sign of appreciation for your well-written, compelling, and riveting blog. Donation buttons may be availed from PayPal, the famous escrow service, who would get a little out of your earnings when people do decide to spare some change. Similar options are offered by Amazon (Honor System) and BitPass5. Start a Gift Shop – if your blog becomes popular enough that hoards of people all over the world visit it everyday. Then you may then profit from selling souvenirs. And the good news is you would not have to press your logo on those T-shirts or coffee mugs, CafePress would do it for you. CafePress offers to sell for you anything from those cute buttons to daring thongs. The selling price is up to you; you just need to pay them the base price of the products. Making money out of a blog is not as hard as it seems. But of course like in any other moneymaking venture, you have to do your job and do it well. Soon enough your days as a poverty-stricken bard would be over.William McRand Author: Freelance Writer specializing in Internet marketing, Self help, Blogging, and online income. Five Top Secrets of Pay Per Click Campaigns26th March 2008Author: Meenakshi WaliBusinesses that wish to be a part of internet marketing are now making use of the paid listing of the search engines that is popularly known as the pay per click campaigns. These search engine listings does not only provide a sufficient web presence to the businesses but they also help in generating essential traffic to the websites. The pay per click campaigns run on bidding process, where the websites bid for their keywords, and pay a set amount to the search engines, for every visitor that is generated from these paid ads on the search result pages. In order to make the most out of the pay per click campaign, there are a few secret tips that the website owner or web master must follow. A website is the most important interface between you and your targeted audience, hence it is essential to make it appealing to your targeted audience. Thus, before you begin with your PPC campaign make sure that your website is well constructed and ready to receive visitors that will come through the pay per click campaigns. Identifying your targeted audience is the next essential phase of website designing. It is very important to know where and whom shall your website cater to. There are several things that depend on the targeted audience of the site. Factors like keyword selection, demographic targeting and to some extent the design and content of the website too depends on the search engines. Keyword selection is the most crucial phase in pay per click campaigns. It must be done after sufficient research and development. The keywords are the deciding factor of the success or the failure of your website. Only if your keyword is effective and complimenting the content of your website they will be able to attract visitors to your site.Once the keywords have been selected, it is time now to bid for them in the search engines. If your keyword is a competitive one, bidding for the highest position can get slightly over board your budget as there will be many competitors fighting for the same position. Once you have successfully bid on your keyword it is important to keep the last day of the contract in mind so that when the date is nearing you can renew your contract.Once your pay per click campaign is up and running, in no time you will be receiving traffic to your website. At this point the most necessary thing is to make use of the traffic that is flowing in to accomplish your targeted action. Your targeted action could be anything from filling a form to buying your product and service. In order to ensure that the traffic is flowing in the direction you wish to have them, it is important to set up a landing page for your website. The landing page might not be a part of your website, rather it could just be the junction which will help in getting your target action accomplished. Follow these basic principles in your pay per click campaign and see how it benefits your business.About the Author- Meenakshi Wali is an expert in Internet marketing solutions, presently working with Rupiz Media LTD., one of the leading internet marketing company, offering online marketing services, SEO services and search engine marketing over the globe. This article is free for republishingSource: http://www.a1articles.com/article_495485_7.html

working fom home is a dream?
Working From Home Is Forever A Dream? by: Mathias ConnerWorking from home seems like a dream that everyone wishes for, but you can make this dream come true. Working from home might seem much like a scam, but in actual fact, there are companies who are willing to hire people to work from their homes. There are so many job opportunities for you to choose from. From taking online surveys to doing data entry work, just like a normal clerk doing his/her daily job in office. But the difference is, you can get to do this by working at home and you can have your own tea break or maybe even a nap on your comfortable bed. It is true that there are many scam sites out there wanting to con you. But you can prevent that from happening. All you need to do is to do a little research and you can be safe from those scams. Reaping in a hundred and fifty dollars a day can be achieved. But it requires tremendous amount of hard work and research. Imagine having yourself signed up to 15 survey companies out there, and they each have 5 daily surveys for you with a payout rate of 2 dollars per survey. All you have to do is to complete all 75 surveys and you can reach the 150-dollars-a-day target. It may sound simple, but having to do 75 surveys really takes up a lot of your time. But after all, you still get to work from home. And with such a tempting amount of income, who can resist it? There are other ways to earn 150 dollars per day. You can take up data entry job, reading emails, writing articles or maybe you can venture into online marketing for those who are willing to try. All of these jobs require you to just sit down in front of your computer and start working from home. If you are willing to work hard, you might even earn more than 150 dollars a day. It all depends on your willingness to learn and the amount of hard work you put in. Remember, there is no free lunch in this world. Some might think that working from home sounds tough, but let me tell you that if you manage to pull through from all the hard work, everything that you do after the hardship, would be as easy as memorizing the alphabets ABC.About The AuthorMathias Conner now earns a steady flow of income by working from his home. Ever since being bankrupt a few years back, he has managed to pull through and has a relaxing job at home. Visit

Dear All, The Unesco document "Libraries for all : how to start a basic library", brought to our notice by Dr Indira, is an excellent practical guide to be taught in our library schools in the beginning so as to give the students a holistic overview of the tasks ahead in the library profession. The list of options in decision-making, the practical hints on whereabouts and the logical sequencing of the sub topics make this document a good entry point for a new student of Library Science. Fw: 20090203 - A reflection by Rajashekhar Devarai on Arun Maira's paper "global meltdown"

February 3rd 2009

A reflection of a Librarian on "A matter of trust/Arun Maira.-Times of India – February 2, 2009, page 16(centre page).

This educative centre page article by Management consultant Arun is educative and sensitizing.  It is specially useful to commoners and non-finance-non economists to grasp a minimum of understanding about concepts like : recession, global meltdown, global slowdown, global meltdown etc. The much valued freedom that the business need, the extent of accountability and responsibility that is required of them towards government and society are well brought out in the paper.

A reasonable and significant ethical level of conduct on the part of businessmen; transparency and required flexibility of rules and guidelines on the part of Government and a trust and belief of people towards both Government and Business work towards building  sound global economies.  As brought very well by Arun business which always wanted less and less interference by government, now wants their unquestioned and unlimited support both in terms of finance and moral backing.  It is true, these troubled times need fundamental changes in the ways governments function, in the way businesses function and in the way people empower and trust governments and business.  Are we all to move forward towards a disciplined flexibility and a reasonable balancer between freedom and equity.

What do we think about this as librarians? Directly or indirectly, to a more or less extent we too are business, a different servicing business.  Apart from asking more and more in terms of salaries and perks and of course budgets; we need to learn the economics of financing of the libraries, our duties and accountability towards all stake holders , I mean the institution we serve and the government and people at large.

As librarians let us learn more and more lessons of being sensitive, responsible and accountability and lateral thinking, at these troubled and hopeless times.  Shall we pledge to be out of the box, shall we restart ourselves to prove our social relevance and indispensability.  We have come of age.  Let us re-affirm ourselves, and continue our age old affinity with knowledge and its power.

20090202-Amsterdam revisited - Courtsey-Sonia of St.Xavior's college Mumbai

20090202-Amsterdam revisited - Courtsey-Sonia of St.Xavior's college Mumbai

Pictorial write up of Sonia (Hindustan times-HT Cafe 31-01-2009) of St.Xavior's College indeed took me  to the year 1998, when I was there. I was a member of a 6 member librarians team of NIFT who set out abroad for a conference (IFLA conference Amsterdam) and Fashion Fairs at London.

The trip inclusivie of travel time was about 15 days which also included a short visit to Rotterdam.  Amsterdam the city of museums , a city which sheltered protestants - a historical event, a city more known as an utopian city, indeed was my home for few days.  Cleanliness , smart and fast people, fast moving cars, old but grand and artistic buildings mark the city apart.  Red light areas of any city in the world scare even the so called daring urbanites., the city so beautifully different even in its redlight area.  People familites, children move freely around without any fear.... even late nights.  Dam square was liked by all of us for its beautiful setting, people around.  The picture of the city never fades from my memory even after 10 long years.  Thank you Sonia for reminding me of the beauty of this beautiful city.  It is quite interesting to know from  her that one can stay at Amsterdam now for a night @Rs.4416.00 - breakfast included : http://www.sevenbridgeshotel.in

Inspiration for this write up : Amsterdam awakening?Sonia.-HT cafe 31-01-2009 page 7 and 8.
