Retiring librarian receives praiseCity Librarian Fontayne Holmes will retire from her post in August, capping a 30-year career in the library system, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's office announced Monday.Holmes received widespread praise for her work overseeing the city's library construction program, which added nine branch libraries and rebuilt more than 90% of the city's existing facilities.Villaraigosa named Kris Morita, the library department's assistant general manager, as Holmes' replacement.
